About
I've always been drawn tofiguring out how things work.
My background spans software development, infrastructure, networking, environmental investigations, surveying, mechanical work, and independent technical projects.
On the surface, those fields can look unrelated. For me, the common thread has always been the same: understand the system, identify what is wrong, document what matters, and build or repair the right solution.
Professionally, I work in environmental investigations and enforcement. Outside of work, I build and manage virtualized infrastructure, networks, self-hosted services, and software applications.
I also come from a hands-on mechanical background, including operating an independent mobile mechanic business. That experience shaped the way I approach technical problems today: start with the symptoms, understand the system, test the assumptions, and work toward the root cause.
I'm continuing to develop across software, networking, infrastructure, and environmental disciplines while building projects that let me apply those skills in real environments.
Building Next
Building beyond the portfolio.
I'm also working toward turning some of my technical and creative interests into long-term business ventures.
Through Envialis, I'm developing software products focused on infrastructure, monitoring, automation, and practical technical problems. TunnelWire is one of the first products being developed under that direction.
Outside of software, there also is a developing vinyl-focused business centered around collecting, reviews, community, content, and eventually retail.
Both ventures are still in development, but they represent an important part of where I'm headed: combining technical skills, problem-solving, creativity, and business ownership into projects that can grow beyond personal experimentation.
